L’heure
entre chien et loup
Girl just
leave me alone

L’heure
entre chien et loup*
Girl just
leave me alone
Suddenly
the sky turns red
The night
approaches over the hill
Even the
sun that shined over me
Has grown
dark and is gone now, eh
You keep on
circling**
You are circling
around me, (walking) round and round***
Lingering
around me
(Walking) round
and round without an end
You've
smelled the blood I shed and came back
Just like a
hound on a hunt
I end up agonizing
all day long, tempting you all night long
In favor of
my own selfishness, ya woo
You roughly
break in to my memory, woo
You're
smiling
In the dream
I've seen countless times
(But) I
wonder, (are you smiling) because you miss me or because you ridicule me?
I no longer
know who you are
Can someone
tell me?
Will I get
deceived by your warmth and burnt instead?
Are you a
(friendly) dog? Or a (dangerous) wolf?
You keep on
rising in front of my eyes
Even if I
try to cover my eyes from you, you keep slipping through my fingers
You are circling
around me, (walking) round and round
You are
lingering around me
Covered
with wounds
I don't
mind getting even more hurt
Are you a
(friendly) dog? Or a (dangerous) wolf?
You keep on
circling
You are circling
around me, (walking) round and round
Lingering
around me
(Walking)
round and round without an end
Unfamiliar
to the point of being scary
A long dim
shadow over there
Is it you,
who will bring a warm spring?
Or is it a
wolf, who will devour me?
At this
moment which is no longer a day but not yet a night
Both lies
and truths have no meaning to me anymore
I no longer
know who you are
Can someone
tell me?
Will I get
deceived by your warmth and burnt instead?
Are you a
(friendly) dog? Or a (dangerous) wolf?
You keep on
rising in front of my eyes

You are
lingering around me
Covered
with wounds
I don't
mind getting even more hurt
Are you a
(friendly) dog? Or a (dangerous) wolf?
The Moon
rises brightly over there
Its light
spreads over
The sound of
lonely howling
When the
Full Moon comes up to the sky flee
Will it
feel strange?
This moment
which is no longer a day but not yet a night
Is the most
dreadful one
Leave
I no longer
know who you are
Can someone
tell me?
Will I get
deceived by your warmth and burnt instead?
Are you a
(friendly) dog? Or a (dangerous) wolf?
You keep on
rising in front of my eyes

* French
expression literally meaning "the time between dog and wolf"
referring to the dusk; twilight; the time between the end of afternoon and
beginning of evening when these two cannot be distinguished.
Expression
uses also reference to a dog and wolf, which are representations of good and
evil (friendly dog and dangerous wolf). For a good understanding of this
expression we would have to turn back to Middle Ages, when people believed that
it is an hour of transformation (when day turns into night), when things
becomes their own shadows and stop being themselves.
P.S.: For
more explanation please refer to Barbara Bray.
** A
reference to dogs/wolves circling their prey
*** 빙빙 means round and round, circling
